“The coronavirus will disappear November 3rd”
said Tim a long-haul truck driver from Minnesota. Tim is convinced the everything around COVID-19, shut downs, stories of overburdened hospitals, masks and news coverage has been manufactured to defeat President Trump in the 2020 election. Tim has continued to drive truck across the country throughout the course of the pandemic. His elderly mother who has a heart condition lives with him. He will not wear a ‘damn mask’.
“I realize now I must step up to stop the media lies about this virus and the fear it creates”
Said the Pastor at a South Dakota evangelical church during a funeral service this week. This pastor went on to tell the congregation that God will protect them and they need not be afraid. The funeral service was for an 86 year old congregant who had died after a long illness. His frail widow is fighting her own cancer battle. Many of the roughly 70 people who attended the funeral were elderly using walkers to get around. They sat shoulder to shoulder singing songs of praise and hope. Less than a third of the them wore masks.
“The most outrageous lies are the ones about COVID-19. Everyone is lying. The CDC, Media, Democrats, our Doctors, not all but most, that we are told to trust,”
Tweeted Chuck Woolery, former game show host turned conservative podcaster. The tweet was picked up and forwarded by President Trump to his followers. The day after Woolery posted the tweet his son tested positive for Covid-19. Woolery deleted his twitter account.
‘Let make this clear. I’m not buying a f#@%ing mask. I’ve made it this far by not buying into that damn hype.’
Posted Facebook in April by Richard Rose, a 37 year old army veteran with no pre-existing conditions. On July 1 he posted he had tested positive for Covid-19 and was having trouble breathing. He died of the virus on July 3rd.
‘We as a community are tired of having COVID-19 news on the front page every day.’
Written in a letter to the editor of The Daily Record by a reader from Apple Creek, Ohio. The writer goes onto request the paper print the total number of deaths recorded from January 1st through July 9th for both 2019 and 2020 to see if other causes of deaths such as cancer and heart attack are recorded as COVID-19 deaths. He goes onto say ‘If for two weeks we would not see any COVID-19 news in the newspaper or on TV we would all be back to normal.’
The COVID-19 pandemic has infected 3.68 million Americans while taking the lives of 141,000.
