In a 7-2 decision the US Supreme Court rejected the Texas suit challenging the 2020 presidential election.

This was President Trumps’ last stand to hold onto office. In the last few days 17 republican states and President Trump had signed on to the suit to support overturning the votes in several swing states. The Supreme Court ruled:

The State of Texas’s motion for leave to file a bill of
complaint is denied for lack of standing under Article III of
the Constitution.

On Monday the electoral college is expected to show Biden winning with 306 votes versus President Trumps’ 232.
